After a bit of inspiration from The Great British Bake Off and a lunchtime conversation, the team at ITC organised a charity bake sale in support of the British Heart Foundation.
Over three days, 14 colleagues baked a wide range of cakes, biscuits and sweet treats, with plenty of volunteers on hand to help sell, serve and sample. Thanks to generous donations from across the office, the event raised £226.42 for a brilliant cause.
It was great to see so many people getting involved, whether by baking, donating, or simply stopping by for a treat and a chat. The office certainly felt the effects of three days of baking, but it was all in good spirits and for an important charity.
With such a positive response, this is likely to become a regular fixture, and there is already plenty of friendly competition building for next year.
